Windham Professionals, Inc., with its corporate headquarters in Salem, NH is hiring experienced Account Specialists (Collection Representatives) for our Commercial Clients for our Fair Lawn, NJ office. This position will be Hybrid: a split between remote and in office.

Windham is a privately held company that was founded in 1982 to provide accounts receivable management and customer care services. Currently, we provide 1st and 3rd party recovery programs and call center services that are customized, compliance-driven, and customer-centric. Our clients come from different sectors including, but not limited to, retail, higher education, healthcare, commercial, insurance and government. Our company operates in offices across the United States.

The Account Specialists will interact with borrowers in the negotiation of collection of defaulted or delinquent debts on behalf of our clients, which will involve skip tracing and establishing contact with borrowers.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing accounts on a daily basis and maintaining all work queue and desk assignments.
• Contacting borrowers via telephone to attempt debt collection.
• Establishing borrower location and contact information via skip tracing if necessary.
• Establishing borrower’s ability and willingness to pay and identifying the appropriate repayment program/options available to them.
• Tracking and reporting all account information into computer through our collections system.
• Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is sent out to borrowers, following up to ensure that paperwork is returned and then submitting it in a timely manner.
• Meeting or exceeding all daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
• Understanding and following all federal and state laws with regards to collections policies and procedures.
• Passing annual required compliance testing.
• Performing other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• This position requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with consumers on certain client programs.
• You must also be detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
