Account Manager - Insurance / $14.0-$16.0 per hour / FORT WAYNE, IN

- Complete sales of insurance products by qualifying applicants, following up on leads, soliciting business, counseling clients concerning coverage and/or policy changes, quoting insurance rates and accurately completing new insurance applications.
- Generate new business sales and/or maintain retention of existing agency business, based on defined and attainable agency goals.
- Navigate the insurance marketplace to ensure clients are placed in optimal markets using company and agency prescribed guidelines.
- Successfully navigate required computer applications (i.e. carrier sites, internet, agency management system)
- Recognize and maintain fiduciary responsibility to collect down payments and premiums and to protect customer confidentiality and privacy in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Execute and facilitate insured’s service requests when appropriate. Anticipate and execute account rounding and cross-selling opportunities.
- Complete training and continuing education and professional development programs, as required.
- P&C license required (you can obtain this while working if you do not already have). PLEASE NOTE: obtaining your P&C license is the #1 requirement for this position.
- Life license required within one year after obtaining P&C license
- No felony convictions
- 2 years previous sales or service experience preferred or at least be outgoing and friendly
- Ethical and honest
