Security Service / Access Controls Technician

We are looking for an Access Controls / Security Service Technician to join our team in our Kansas City, Missouri office. Our dealer territory is primarily the greater Kansas City area, but covers eastern Kansas and western Missouri. Description:

The Security Service/ Access Controls Technician will be responsible for startup and checkout of newly installed projects and/or working service calls. On-Call rotation is required. This individual must have excellent listening and communication skills, able to work independent of others, self-motivated, and attentive to details.

Duties Include:

• Establish and maintain a positive relations with customer and co-workers through effective oral and written skills
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on software and hardware as arranged in service agreement.
• Provide timely response to diagnose and repair source of customer concern by analyzing system requirements, test components and performing corrective action, and emergency remote technical support as required.
• Provides technical guidance to diagnose control system concerns and support occupant comfort and utility conservation.
• Ability to review and interpret construction plans, control drawings, and access control system sequences of operation.
• Ability to interface and consult with the customer during site assessments, to recognize and assist with the development of client proposals for retrofits, upgrades or improvements to existing access controls and security systems.
• Willing to participate in company training and self-study to improve and maintain technical proficiency in program platforms.
• Maintains safety of yourself and others through company directed expectations and personal accountability.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized and self-sufficient.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills are a requirement of this position
• At least 2 years’ experience in Access Controls and Security, including troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of cameras, plus exposure to programming.

• Knowledge of door access control systems, cameras, computer systems, electronics or networked applications.
• Experience with systems / software such as Software House, RS2, Axis, Panasonic, and Avigilon.

• Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
• Ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams and circuits. Must be able to troubleshoot electrical controls with a multi-meter.
• Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment
• Has the ability to operate independently and autonomously and yet possesses the discretionary judgment to know when it’s appropriate to consult with others in the organization.
• Ability to execute their work to ensure high customer satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
