Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking an Abrasive Clean Technician I to support its Paint Removal department. This position is an entry-level position for a highly motivated, hard-working person with the desire to grow their career. The role is to perform light mechanical and preventative maintenance work under close supervision.

This position may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.

Essential Duties

This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.

• Check levels and test operation of equipment before loading.
• Perform various general shop duties.
• Clean and service parts according to company procedures.
• Organize equipment in the department.
• Make minor repairs to equipment.
• Performs duties in compliance with company safety standards.
• Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
• Communicating professionally with team members and supervisors.
• Actively participating in safety or educational training as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work environment consistent with the Employee Handbook.
• Reports safety violations to supervisor.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Attends department and safety meetings.
• Troubleshooting basic electrical issues
• Ensuring safe use of power and hand-held tools.
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Adhere to all the rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
• Performs other duties as required by business needs.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: One (1) year related experience.Preferred: Landing Gear and Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Superior presentation and negotiation skills. Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and ability to multitask tasks from multiple administrators. SAP Knowledge.
