The Manager of A&R at FADER Label acts as the lead on all of our artists across the label. You will identify, sign, and develop artists across popular genres including pop, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative. You will work directly with our label team to help create and develop each artist and songs.

Responsibilities

• Find and sign recording artists, songs, and producers through demos, recordings, and live performances
• Cultivate relationships with artists and representatives, and negotiate deals
• Solicit producers and coordinate meetings with artists, and producers
• Attend recording, mixing, and mastering sessions
• Recommend singles, and key tracks
• Act as liaison with artist, artist managers, and art department regarding marketing concepts
• Track data, and analyze growth of key artists
• Work across departments to share key findings
• Administer and track in real-time each project’s recordings spends, work with finance team to invoice, and payout third parties in a timely manner
  
• Strong people and relationship building skills. This individual must be able to partner with various teams to gather, analyze, and disseminate relevant findings
• Must have strong knowledge of various genres of music, and the ability to separate/identify the commercially viable from the pack.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in A&R, and artist development
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Strong artist relation skills
• Ability to juggle multiple projects throughout the day
• Ability to handle and defuse intense situations
• Ability to handle talent relations effectively
• Able to work across multiple departments successfully
• Ability to understand, manage, and forecast budgets
• Travel is required
• Must be willing and able to attend concerts, artist appearances, photo, and video shoots
• Must be able to attend artist performances, recording sessions, and rehearsals

The annual base pay range for this role is between $55,000 and $60,000.
