Hatch is a full-service engineering and management consulting firm seeking highly motivated LOCAL NEW YORK STUDENTS - NEW GRADUATES OR RECENT GRADUATES to join the Advisory practice in Brooklyn, New York.

Hatch Advisory brings deep expertise in corporate strategy, business turnarounds, transaction advisory, and much more. By bringing together over 200 management consultants globally, we are able to solve our clients most pressing problems and enable positive growth outcomes. With over six decades of experience in the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors, Hatch seeks to solve the most complex of business and technical issues for our clients.

As a business analyst, you will play an active role in all aspects of client engagements, ranging from deep industry research and hypothesis formulation to strategy development and operational implementation. You will work on engagement teams and support workstreams on projects ranging from several weeks to several months across Hatch’s service lines and sectors.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with project teams to deliver high quality results for our clients
• Performing detailed analysis and recommend strategies for effective engagement delivery
• Supporting engagements across Hatch Advisory service lines which include:
  • Transaction advisory including commercial due diligence
  • Strategy (market studies & corporate/portfolio strategy)
  • Business transformation
  • Climate change, sustainability & ESG strategy
  • Business readiness
  • Capital productivity
  • Asset and maintenance management
  • Supply chain management
  • Analytics, decision making and automation
  • Organizational effectiveness & change management
  • Risk management
  • Helping grow Hatch’s US Advisory practice by participating in business development activities such as writing proposals, participating in conferences, and developing thought leadership materials

Education and experience:

• This role is suitable for a candidate expecting to graduate a leading undergraduate or graduate program no later than May 2023
• Demonstrated experience in using research and analysis tools
• Graduate or undergraduate coursework in economics, energy, engineering, environmental studies, or industry experience relevant to Hatch’s focus areas preferred
